A Few Frequently Asked Questions
How do you normally generate estimates and invoice clients?
Once information has been gathered about a project, we estimate the cost based on the number of hours associated with specific tasks. This estimate is sent to the client for approval. Once approved, a 50% deposit, or retainer is required to get the project underway. Upon project completion, a final invoice is created. This will include the remaining 50% of the original project scope, and the cost of any additional services (which are agreed upon in advance). No surprises here!
What methods of payment do you accept?
Check, credit card and PayPal payment are accepted. Clients can choose to be invoiced by snail mail which includes a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) for convenience. We also provide clients with a secure online account where they can view, print and pay any invoices at any time. Via online account, a client can make multiple payment types to an invoice (if you wanted to split the payment by check and credit card for example).

What do you need from me in the design process?
Whether it’s corporate branding, printed work or a website, we’ll need your input to make it a success. We work with you to take your ideas, and marketing plans forward beautifully. We’ll need access to previous design files, such as logos.
How much does it cost to setup a website?
For a custom-developed web site, the investment can range from about $2,500 to $10,000.
What’s the difference between the $2,500 and $10,000 site?
Let’s start out with what is the same. First of all, in both cases, we’ll meet with you during a FREE consultation and run through what we call ‘fact finding’. Then, we make our recommendations based upon your needs and budget. We’ll create a well thought out and professional web design, customized to attract your target market. Don’t be scared by pricing of web sites. Choose your solution based on what it will get you in business.
Do I have a say in what my website looks like?
Definitely! As a matter of fact we insist on it. Your website should convey the image you want for your company. We create a look and feel based on discussions with you. You would then review that design online, and request changes to it. Once you are satisfied, you will actually sign off on it before moving onto the next phase of the project.
How long will it take to have my website created?
What usually takes the longest is gathering the necessary information. Once we have the material we need, it goes quickly. Typically, a smaller site will realistically take three to four weeks to complete. It’s partially up to your feedback!
What can you do for my site regarding Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
We integrate natural search engine optimization into our development process. To be sure search engines have a clear picture of the site we do the following:
1.) Build the site using clean code based on current Web Standards 2.) Create an automated XML site map so all pages are crawled by search engines as they are created or updated 3.) An SEO plugin can be integrated into the site as well.
